For those who may not have heard, tomorrow—Friday, March 21st—will be Chloe Phillips’ last day coaching at Yellow Rose.
She and Trevor are making an exciting move to Dallas, and while I’m truly happy for them, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t bummed. Chloe has been such an integral part of Yellow Rose, and it’s a bummer to imagine the gym without her.
But before we get all misty-eyed, let me tell you the story of how Chloe became part of the Yellow Rose family—and just how much she’s meant to us.
The Story of Chloe & Yellow Rose
It was late May 2023.
I can’t quite remember who connected us (apologies to this mysterious matchmaker), but I found myself chatting with Trevor about the possibility of him and Chloe purchasing a gym.
Long story short, by June, that plan didn’t work out. And, in hindsight, it was one of the best things that could have happened—to us.
Because during that conversation, I said something like:
“Sorry it didn’t work out, but I think it’s for the best. Also, is Chloe available to chat today about coaching at Yellow Rose?”
And the rest, as they say, is history.
The Impact of Chloe
From June 12, 2023, onward, Chloe became a cornerstone of our coaching team. She’s been:
✔️ Dependable—always showing up, ready to coach.
✔️ Professional—the perfect mix of knowledgeable, approachable, caring, and tough.
✔️ Encouraging—kind to every client, but never afraid to push them just the right amount.
✔️ Canadian, New Zealander… Portlandian? (Still not totally sure where she’s from.)
✔️ A Tim Horton’s loyalist—which, honestly, just adds to the mystique.
She took the lead on building our Legends program, helping Legends get stronger and healthier with every class. She was always up for lifting heavy, always willing to give that final nudge when someone (cough, me, cough) was trying to skip a workout while complaining in the office.
And above all, she made working at Yellow Rose more fun, and always helped you crack a smile.
Chloe, We’ll Miss You
Your presence, your expertise, your humor, and your unwavering consistency have been a gift to Yellow Rose.
I still don’t really know where you’re from (I’m 63% sure it’s Canada), but I do know this:
You’re a treasured part of Yellow Rose Fitness, and you always will be.
Thank you for everything—for advancing our happy, and for helping hundreds of others do the same.
We already miss you. Come see us soon. 💛

PS: Chloe is also a pretty private person and doesn’t like the spotlight or photos, so if I end up unalived in the back of Yellow Rose, Chloe is the prime suspect!
