Member Spotlight – Chad P.

Each week, we’re going to highlight one of our amazing members here at CrossFit Yellow Rose. Our members all have some pretty incredible stories to tell, and we want to share them with the world!

For this edition of the spotlight, we called on one of our staple 6AM-ers, Chad! Here’s our quick Q&A with Chad!

What’s your name? Chad Peter

Tell us a little about yourself in 5 sentences or less. Where are you from? Are you a parent? What are your hobbies? Anything unique about your life you want to share? (etc etc)

I love my family (wife, Annie, and sons, Stuart and Thomas).  I help operate a small oilfield services business with my brother and enjoy the dynamics of small business.  I enjoy watching any sporting event, hanging out with the family, singing, and traveling.

Why did you start CrossFit? What was life like before?

I started back to CrossFit this past summer after a 2 year break.  I had a desire to make fitness a part of my life again and simply needed some encouragement to do so. I didn’t have any focus on my nutrition and saw my overall fitness level becoming worse.

How has life improved?

I have found having the routine of going to CrossFit in the mornings sets my day up for success.  The feeling I have after the workout and the sense of accomplishment going into my day has been very beneficial.

What do you love most about Yellow Rose?

The community and overall feel of Yellow Rose is second to none. The staff’s desire to make everyone feel welcome and understand what each member’s goal is makes the experience of Yellow Rose special. I have enjoyed getting to know the other members that attend during the same time I do.

What would you tell someone on the fence about starting CrossFit?

Jump in (or have your wife sign you up without you knowing like mine did). Placing an emphasis on your health is something you wont regret.
