Your New Goal: BE A PROFESSIONAL EXERCISER.
Let me explain.
I don’t mean professional exerciser in the sense that you’re going to compete in the sport of exercising. While that’s cool and all, none of us have the capacity or the lifestyle to actually make that a thing.
and honestly, if you spend any amount of time around a competitive exerciser, I’d wager that you wouldn’t want that lifestyle either!
But what does it mean to actually be a professional exerciser?
Well, what does it mean to be a professional in anything?
PROFESSIONALS SHOW UP AND DO THE WORK, EVEN WHEN THEY DON’T FEEL LIKE IT.
It’s as simple as that. The most successful people in the world usually aren’t the most talented. They’re simply the most consistent with their effort. On the days they don’t want to do things, they do it anyway. They know that getting after that little bit of effort on the days that they really don’t want to will keep their momentum moving forward for the long haul.
They know that consistency is king, and it will always win out in the long run.
And my friends, we’re exercising for the long haul here.
Sure, we might have some micro goals along the way like dropping some weight, achieving a certain look, or elevating our levels of performance… but in the end, we’re exercising so we can live a long, healthy, and energetic life.
That’s why I want you to become a professional exerciser.
I want you to figure out what amount of exercise is going to be best for you (I’m happy to help with this), be it 3x, 4x, or even 5x a week, and make it happen.
For example: over the next 90 days, I’m going to get in 48 workouts. I don’t have any expectations of performance or any performance goals set for it, but I’m going to get in the 48 workouts. I’m going to do them when I don’t feel like it. I’m going to do them when a beer on the couch sounds better. I’m going to get it done, even if it means adjusting my schedule to do so.
I want you to prioritize getting in your movement.
I want you to perfect your consistency.
I want you to show up, and keep showing up.
because you deserve it. Your family deserves it. Your kids deserve to have that professional example in front of them. Your mind, body, and soul deserve it.
You deserve to be a professional, but you do have to work for it.
So let’s put in the work this week, even on the days we don’t feel like it. That doesn’t mean we have to go 100% each day, but it does mean you have to show up. You know our coaches will take care of you, and we’re more than happy to write completely different workouts so that way you can check the box, get in your movement and sweat, and continue to be a professional.
Get through the front door, and we’ll take care of the rest.
See you at the gym! I don’t really feel like doing today’s workout, but I’m going to get it done in my garage today. Let’s be pros!
